Drive Thru Begs Customers to Stop Smoking Weed

Fed Up With Stoners

Fast food restaurant, Sonic, has posted a sign at one of its drive-thru location begging customers to stop smoking weed while waiting for their order. Sonic employees are fed up with the epidemic of stoned customers.

Engulfed By A Cloud of Weed

A Mississippi Sonic restaurant posted the sign after a member of staff was engulfed by a cloud of weed smoke when a customer rolled down their window to order food and exhaled a cloud of smoke. This proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for the pot-smoke enveloped staff.

Following this incident, a manager put a sign outside the window of the drive-thru. The sign says, “If you are smoking weed in the drive-thru you will not be served! Please show some common courtesy and smoke and air out before pulling up to order.”

This sign is hoped to be the solution to this long-time marijuana malaise.

Less Smoke At The Drive-Thru

The sign seems to be working to some extent, with employees reporting that they have experienced less pungent smoke and potent weed odor. Admittedly, this may be more down to the new security cameras than the sign.

Heavy Penalties In Mississippi

Mississippi is not a 420-friendly state, with penalties for possessing over 30g of cannabis being up to 30 years in prison. Fines can also range from $3,000 to 1 million dollars. So it’s no surprise that the risk of being caught on camera can discourage drive-thru stoners.
