It’s Friday night and your cell phone notifications are going crazy. You may have made plans to go out when you were feeling more energetic and optimistic, but now you’ve decided that being comfortable at home is much more appealing.

We’ve all heard of FOMO (fear of missing out) but what about JOMO (joy of missing out)? Sometimes staying in and laying low can be even better than going out and forcing a social situation where you aren’t in the mood to be. But choosing a night in doesn’t have to be a drab affair. With a little bit of planning, you can make your night in just as fun — and more nourishing — than any night out.

CBD has a lot of benefits that you can use to your advantage. When used externally, it’s an anti-aging antioxidant that’s known for its ability to reduce inflammation, increase moisture and improve your skin’s appearance. So, incorporating it into a night of beautifying self-care will just boost your efforts.

Feel like pampering yourself on a night in? Check out some of these suggestions to make your spa night even more rewarding.

CBD for Your Body and Mind

DIY CBD Body Scrub with Infused Olive Oil
Infused olive oil you pick up at a dispensary might have instructions for in the kitchen, but you can also use it to work wonders on your skin. Just combine 1 cup of brown sugar with ½ cup of olive oil and mix well. Use it in the shower or bath to remove dead skin cells, improve texture and help brighten up dark spots from scars or pimples. If you’d like, you can also add some essential oils of your choice to boost healing benefits.

CBD Massage Oil
Though you might not be able to give yourself a full body rub down, you can still target some key areas that can often hold tension like your neck and shoulders — or show some extra love to your sore feet. Keep it simple by using your thumbs to apply firm and fluid pressure to your neck using your fingers as you massage the oil in small, circular motions. For your feet, you can slip on a pair of fuzzy socks after you’re done to help seal in the benefits.

DIY CBD Face Mask with Infused Honey
This power-packed, homemade mask combines the acne-fighting properties of CBD properties of CBD with the antibacterial properties of honey and cinnamon to help with clearing up problem areas on your face. Combine 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey with half a teaspoon of cinnamon and mix them into a paste. Apply it to your face and let it sit for 20-30 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. If you have sensitive skin, try doing a small patch test before you commit.

CBD Coconut Oil
Everyone knows about the amazing benefits of coconut oil for hair and skin, but did you know that it also works wonders for nails? Paired with the benefits of CBD, you can use coconut oil to moisturize your cuticles, keep your nails hydrated and even strengthen them as they grow. Just take a little bit of coconut oil and rub it onto the nail bed in circular motions using your fingertip. If you do this regularly, you will notice changes sooner.
