Irritable bowel syndrome or IBS is a common disorder of the GI tract that dramatically affects millions of people’s lives around the world. A research team in the Netherlands has just started testing what they hope to be a surprising new solution, cannabis-infused chewing gum.

We know that marijuana can help with nausea. This is another potential benefit to add to the long list of known benefits for cannabis.

We should break down the barriers to medicinal marijuana or cannabis use and find ways to have people use cannabis in a responsible manner. These formal trials in something like IBS, where we have so few great treatments.
