- Ginger tea: Certain teas contain chemical compounds that have medicinal properties. This is why certain countries use tea for medical purposes. Ginger tea can calm muscle contractions and decrease nausea and vomiting which are all migraine symptoms. However, tea should be taken in small amounts due to the high caffeine content
- Feverfew: As the name suggests feverfew is a type of herb used for fevers. It can also prevent and cure muscle spasms and acts as a painkiller. Feverfew does not mask a migraine instead it prevents the headache pains or reduces it’s symptoms.
- Cold and Hot Compress: Using cold and hot compress helps with relieving migraine symptoms. The cold compress tightens the blood vessels and reduces the inflammation, while the hot compress increases the blood flow. Using both alternatively can improve blood flow, oxygenation, and circulation but studies haven’t proved that it can help treat and cure migraines.
