This video was uploaded to Youtube by a man named Pete. Pete suffers from psoriasis. A person with psoriasis has excessive skin growth. Their skin is also prone to shedding excessively. Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease and/or a skin condition that is identifiable through:

  1. Red areas on the skin
  2. Itchiness
  3. Dryness
  4. Scaly skin

What Is Psoriasis? And How Is It Caused?

It is uncertain what the exact cause of this particular skin condition is. However, through heavy and extensive research scientists believe that psoriasis is the result of the immune system and studies show that it is genetic. When our bodies need to fight off bacteria or viruses or any sort of ailment the immune system kicks in. When someone suffers from psoriasis their immune system goes into “overdrive”.

When the immune system triggers it started the inflammation processes which causes redness and swelling of the affected area. The immune system forms an excessive amount of healthy skin cells which reach the surface of the skin rapidly. Because it’s so rapid our bodies can’t shed quick enough and results in the buildup of skin cells on the surface of your skin. Although we don’t know the general cause of it we do however know the trigger. These are:

  1. Stress
  2. Infections (strep throat is commonly known to cause psoriasis)
  3. Side effects of certain medication
  4. Injury on the skin

Pete Treating and Curing His Psoriasis

Pete starting noticing a remarkable difference and he has seen drastic positive effects in his psoriasis after he began taking Cannabidiol (CBD Oil). The difference only took one week to be noticeably visible. The pain and itching that he experienced due to the psoriasis are entirely gone and 40% of his physical psoriasis skin patches have disappeared completely. In the video, the cameraman zooms in on Pete’s arm and exclaims, “yeah that’s way better,” in regards to skin patches on his arm. Pete was able to see these drastic results in as little as a week.

How To Treat Psoriasis

Conventional treatments for psoriasis come with a range of side effects. Since psoriasis cause inflammation and redness treatments are set out to reduce these symptoms. Treatments vary from person to person depending on the severity of the skin condition, their skin type and even the location of psoriasis on the body.

  1. Topical treatments
  2. Systemic medications
  3. Light therapy (artificial, ultraviolet light)

Are all medical forms of treating psoriasis. If you want to avoid these medical treatments you can opt for some natural remedies like Pete did. Natural/home remedies are probably more suited for those with a less severe form of psoriasis.

  1. Aloe Vera: This plant is used for treating many other skin conditions and even burns. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties and is clinically proven to reduce redness and itching sensations.
  2. Fish Oil contains Omega 3 fatty acids which reduces inflammation. You can increase fish in your diet or you can take fish oil supplements.

Can CBD Oil/Cannabidiol Treat Psoriasis?

CBD Oil is extremely safe to consume. It has no significant side effects in the central nervous system and doesn’t affect your mood. The only side effect associated with CBD oil is tiredness and appetite. It is also a great natural alternative to medical treatments. CBD Oil is short for cannabidiol which is derived from the cannabis plant. Although it’s from the cannabis plant it doesn’t have psychoactive properties so it can’t make you high. CBD Oil has undergone a vast amount of studies in recent months due to the promising results it has shown in scientific research. Through studies scientists have discovered that cannabidiol holds:

  1. Anti-inflammatory properties
  2. Anti-viral properties
  3. Anti-bacterial properties
  4. Acs as a pain reliever

All of these properties can help fight off psoriasis. The fact that it has no major side effects and is safe to consume there’s no real reason as to why you shouldn’t use to it treat psoriasis. It can also treat other skin conditions like acne. Before you purchase your first CBD oil it’s recommended that you consult your physician first or any other medical expert like a dermatologist.
