Ryan, a 12 year old boy, suffers on the daily with self destructive behaviour, rage and panic. He and his mother claim that they are living a nightmare.
Judy, Ryan’s mother, says that she noticed her sons behaviour when he was in the 1st grade (6 years old). Never would she have imagined that her son would develop such an array of debilitating syndromes, like severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCB).

Ryan was incapable of functioning in the real world, and it was made clear that he was in so much pain and stress, when he ran out to his mother in the driveway begging her to run him over. He’s said he doesn’t want to live anymore. He is afraid of the wind, and the number six, he was taken out of school at the age of 12, and now spends his day playing video games.

He has been on many different medications and has received therapy, but nothing has aided him. When Judy realised that her son wasn’t getting the help that he needed, she turned to marijuana, to her it seems drastic, but she believes that she has nothing else to lose. Judy says that the CBD oil

“It’s like it just takes the edge off of his OCD,it’s not like the OCD goes away when he has his medicine but his ability to cope with it changes”.

Judy mentions that she is not getting her son high, due to the dosage that her son is on, he is only receiving a very low level amount of TCH.

Lester Grinspoon, a retired physician and professor at Harvard university was asked, “in how young is too young to use medical marijuana? Lester replies with “How young is too young to use aspirin, how young is too young to use penicillin?”.

Lester states that cannabis is remarkably non-toxic, and believes that we have been brainwashed into thinking that cannabis isn’t a good substance.

“There will come a time when people will recognise that this is a wonder drug of our times. It does so much in terms of relieving some of the symptoms which is very difficult for parents to deal with, let alone a child”.
