Kristen Peskuski who suffers from systemic lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, interstitial cystitis, and numerous other conditions started to juice using the cannabis plant. Before she was introduced to marijuana, Kristen was on over 40 different types of medication, some to name were methotrexate, plaque lamellae, Vioxx, and Celebrex. Two of which almost caused Kristen to lose her eyesight.

At 16 years old, Kristen was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and that evolved into a lupus condition. He was bedridden for years, that was thought that she would never survive. After 4 to 6 weeks of juicing, Kristen started to see positive results. She was no longer suffering from back pain and she didn’t have to rely on painkillers.

Kristen explains that her method of ingesting cannabis does not involve getting high and experiencing the psychoactive effect created by THC. Taking THC raw (THCa) is non-psychoactive and produces 600mg. If you take THC when it’s cooked (THC) it’s psychoactive and produces 10mg. So juicing allows Kristen to take up to 500 to 600 mg which is 60 times more than someone could tolerate if it was cooked or heated.

Dr. William Courtney is trying to spread awareness of the cannabis plant it is medicinal properties. He is trying to convince governments to change the convention treaty which the UN established in 1961 stating cannabis is a crime, if you have it, if you grow it, if it’s in your possession, you should be imprisoned. Dr. William Courtney believes that the cannabis plant is a great source of food that contains fatty acids, protein and can be used as a preventive medicine source and a therapeutic source. Dr. William Courtney explains that cannabis plants are fantastic for the environment also, Dr. William Courtney said, “They’re sucking five times as much co2 out of the environment as an acre of trees”.
