Medical Marijuana can help with brain disorders such as ADHD and ADD. The symptoms of these disorders include difficulty in focus, lack of attention, problems concerning impulse control, etc. There are chances of the disorder progressing as the child grows.
However, many adults suffering from ADD or ADHD have reported that the disorder was not diagnosed when they were children. Studies show that nearly 4.8 million people or in other words more than 4% of the population of US is likely to have some form of ADD or ADHD. The worst part is that the majority of the people are not even aware of it.
The traditional treatment being offered today is believed to be little effect. In fact, it can worsen the situation. The most common medicines prescribed for ADD/ADHD involve amphetamine in one way or the other that might be harmful.
In addition to this, the effectiveness of ISI psychotherapy also remains to be in question since so far it has failed to give positive results on a larger scale. Lately, extensive research is being done that has proven CBD very useful.
A study was done on individuals consuming Medical Marijuana that were also suffering from ADD/ADHD. The cannabis helped them focus and issues concerning impulse control were significantly reduced too. Similarly, people suffering from ADD/ADHD but not using cannabis were observed too.
These were around 30 people, and traditional medication was not giving them any relief. When these individuals used the cannabis medication the results changed. Their sleeping pattern improved and they witnessed an improvement in concentration and impulse control. Continuous research is being done on both CBD and medical marijuana shows that cannabis can largely help with treating ADD and ADHD.
If you wish to try cannabis to treat ADHD/ADD or any other ailment, make sure to consult your doctor.
