What Is Fish Oil?

Fish oil is basically the fatty oils from fish we digest when eating them. However, as a supplement they are commonly known as Omega-3 oils which can be consumed in capsule form. Omega-3 is one of the best supplements we can use as it helps our bodies overall including our endocannabinoid system (ECS).

If you have ever read one of our articles you will understand that the ECS is a key pathway for cannabidiol (CBD) to interact and bind with our molecules to provide us with it’s many health benefits. Other available fish oils include cod liver oil and the less common shark liver oil.

CBD oil is the oily substance we get once CBD (cannabidiol) from the cannabis or hemp plants is refined for consumption. It is understood from both scientific studies and anecdotal evidence from users, to have a wide array of benefits for both major (Parkinson’s Disease, Cancer, etc) and minor (Acne, Arthritis, etc) illnesses.

It is classified as a supplement like fish oil although its potential is much greater. It is also illegal in certain countries and some states in America, but is becoming legalized more and more each day.

What Are the Combined Benefits of CBD and Fish Oil?

As mentioned above, both fish oil and CBD oil have many potential benefits. However, it is understood that because fish oil (Omega-3) is good at maintaining the endocannabinoid system (ECS), CBD is therefore more useful when used along side it. This is because CBD relies on the ECS to take it where it needs to go throughout the body and brain to do its job.

Stimulating and binding with proteins and molecules to provide a better balance within our bodies. If the ECS is diminished CBD will be less effective and fewer potential benefits will be felt.

Below are some of the ways fish oil helps our endocannabinoid system:

  • Keeps cannabinoid receptors healthy and working properly, while also repairing them.
  • Keeps omega 3 and 6 ratio levels low. (Good for healthy membranes)
  • Helps with cannabinoid growth and metastasis.
  • Create useful enzymes we need to create or degrade cannabinoids for overall regulation.

As you can see. Fish oil is a lot like CBD. In a way fish oil is to our endocannabinoid system, what CBD is to our body and brain.
