CBD and coconut oil make an excellent combination for a number of reasons, and it was perhaps only a matter of time before the latter was infused with the former and CBD coconut oil became a sought-after product on the ever-growing market of cannabis-infused products. Unlike some of its counterparts, however, it’s remarkably easy to both find and use, making it somewhat of a rarity in the burgeoning industry.

In fact, CBD coconut oil could be the ideal product for anybody who wants to enjoy the health benefits of cannabidiol (CBD) without having to:

  1. learn how to how to cook with it,
  2. spend a lot of money on luxurious topicals,
  3. risk damaging their lungs by vaping it.

With CBD coconut oil, you can incorporate CBD into your everyday meals simply by swapping it out with your normal cooking oil. If you’re more of a skin care person, you can use it as a weekly face mask or hair treatment. And unless you have a coconut allergy, there’s little risk of a negative reaction (however, if you do have a coconut allergy, you should steer clear of this particular product).

Best of all, acquiring CBD coconut oil doesn’t require any special documents or rigorous sleuthing.

Where to Buy CBD Coconut Oil

With nationwide chains like Walmart and Target exploring possible CBD lines, it looks like CBD coconut oil could become even more readily available in the months to come. In the meantime, however, here are the best places to find it.

Pharmacies and Health Food Stores

With the sudden surge in demand for CBD products, many of the country’s biggest pharmacy and health food store chains have jumped on board and started stocking ranges for their natural wellness customers.

Many of America’s biggest pharmacy chains — including CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid — have announced plans to roll out CBD products across stores. Combined, these three chains represent thousands of locations across the country, and though their CBD pilot programs are limited to a small number of these, the rapid growth of the industry means that there’s a good chance that CBD coconut oil will soon be coming to a store near you.

Unfortunately though, if you live in one of these three states, you might have a longer time to wait, since CBD is still illegal.

Amazon and Other Online Retailers

At the moment, Amazon has a strict policy of not selling CBD-infused products on its site. This doesn’t mean that you can’t buy CBD coconut oil there — it just means that it’s likely going to be called “hemp infused coconut oil” or something similar.

This is problematic if you’re the kind of consumer who likes to trace their CBD seed to shelf and have as much information about the product that you’re buying as possible. It’s also tricky because many of the synonyms used to skirt round Amazon’s rules actually refer to entirely different products. For example, “CBD oil” and “hemp seed oil” are completely different things, so if your coconut oil has been infused with the latter, you’re effectively paying for nothing.

That’s why in most cases it’s best to buy directly from the websites of manufacturers. There are a staggering number of choices, and many of them ship anywhere in the country. Reputable ones will provide detailed information about their products’ CBD content, as well as other ingredients. Look for third-party laboratory testing if you’re especially concerned about quality.

Dispensaries

This is a bit of a mixed bag. Medical dispensaries are now open in 33 states (and Washington D.C.) across America, but you can only shop there if you have a prescription. Recreational dispensaries, on the other hand, are open to everyone over the age of 21 — but they’re only found in 10 states (and, again, Washington D.C.). In these stores you can find everything from CBD coconut oil to cannabis lollipops. However, these products are often extremely expensive.

You’re also unlikely to find a great deal of selection at dispensaries. Since most customers come for other purposes, the majority of dispensaries won’t have a wide selection (or perhaps even any selection at all). However, if you have questions about CBD coconut oil that you’d like to have answered by a knowledgeable, experienced human, dispensaries might be your best bet.
