CBD or cannabidiol is a burgeoning new resource for treating a plethora of different ailments. While CBD is proving to be a safer more natural alternative to many pharmaceuticals, there are a lot of different CBD products with varying effectiveness for different purposes, to choose from. Take a look at this quick guide on how to choose the best CBD oil for you.

First things first, it is essential to understand where CBD oil is derived from. CBD is a prominent component of cannabis plants. Unlike THC, CBD does not have any psychoactive effects. CBD is a chemical compound shown to have anti-inflammatory, antipsychotic, antioxidant, antiviral properties, and it even has the potential to reduce anxiety.

Most CBD products are extracted from the hemp plant, a form of cannabis bred for its strong leaves and industrial uses. This is because current laws allow for hemp plant production if the plants have a THC level of less than 0.03%.

It has only been relatively recent that CBD has been able to be legally sourced from Marijuana, so most CBD oil being used right now is known as CBD hemp oil.

Different Kinds of CBD Products Available

CBD oil can be made into a wide variety of different products. Choosing the right one is a simple matter of assessing your needs and weighing the different pros and cons. With the popularity growth in CBD, the food, beauty, skin care and medical industry have started to create a range of CBD infused products. These products using come in:

Tinctures: A product made by infusing CBD extracts with alcohol, vegetable glycerine, or oil. This is a very versatile product. It can be used sublingually or mixed into drinks or other foods.

Topicals: One of the best ways to consume CBD products non-orally is to use a topical cream or salve. This takes advantage of CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties, as well as being straightforward. Also, if you get a form of CBD oil that also contains THC, topical treatments will prevent any psychoactive effect as it does not enter the bloodstream.

Transdermal Patches: Similar to patches used to quit smoking, CBD transdermal patches are a good, unobtrusive option to get a steady dose of CBD throughout the day.

Vaporizers: By heating the herb itself, a vaporizer activates the CBD in its natural state. To use, you just breathe in a vapor. One thing to consider, vaporizers of this kind are not portable so this usually must be done at home.

Vaporizer Pens: Quite possibly the most popular form of CBD oil consumption, vape pens, are standard and easy to come by. The CBD is made into a vape oil, similar to the way nicotine vape oils are made. The same vape pens that you buy for regular vape oils are entirely compatible with CBD vape oil. While not as discreet as topicals or patches, vaporizer pens are a convenient and handy solution to getting your CBD treatment.

Edibles: Another favorite for people who don’t prefer vape or smoke, are edibles or food infused with CBD. Popular options are CBD infused cookies or brownies. These can be made at home using CBD oil or purchased where CBD is legal.

Traditional Herb Smoking: While this is a not a CBD oil product, this is a viable option for receiving CBD. Certain strains of Cannabis plant, like Charlotte’s Web, have a naturally high level of CBD and reasonably low THC.

Dosing is a vital part of consuming CBD, especially when you want to use it to treat particular or multiple ailments. In this case, it’s advised that you seek medical help as experts in this field will be able to recommend the right dosage for you.

It’s important to note that CBD Oil can come from the hemp plant (industrial hemp) and the cannabis sativa plant. If you purchase from the hemp plant, there is no THC (the substance in which makes cannabis illegal in the first place due to its euphoric effect).

I like the detail put into the website, however, I am unsure which product works best for me or what I am trying to achieve. Perhaps more information such as good for sleeping disorder, good for hot flashes, good for rheumatoid arthritis etc. Looking at the CBD oils does not provide that information and it would be beneficial to know the best one for whatever condition you are trying to tackle.
